Sharing Distance Learning Opportunities

Check out the Steven Downes presentation at Taipae, Taiwan, June 2007.
He has some exciting ideas about how we should be thinking about learning and using web 2.0 tools. This is a tour of Stephen's e-learning 2.0 philosophy. As I listen to the presentation I think about what I need to do to transform a teacher dominated learning environment into an interactive learner centred network. I realize that in order to do this with e-learning I need to continue to shape my personal learning environment. The personal learning environment he speaks of is what we organize, shift and move around as we evaluate resources and relationships within the personal networks we continue to define for ourselves. Access to resources beyond the notion of courseware, democratizing choices, creating open networks that flow freely.
Marshall Machlun said the "medium is the message"
Steven Downes says' "Learning is how you live" You organize your own information and the way you access/process it.
